Anyone has any issue with BigPipe tonight - I'm on vdsl.

All connected OK. I can't surf or use the net (local and overseas). It crawls like hell.

Nothing has changed on my end. Everything sync as expected 48mbps/9mbps.

Where are you located? We're on spark VDSL in Wattle Downs, Auckland and have the exact same issue since about sm hour ago. Family member said they saw in the local fb page that a few others were having the same issue.

Too busy watching coronation street to call Spark, so was hoping it'd be sorted by the time it finishes haha.

Apologies if this is unrelated. I thought spark owned big pipe so it may be a bigger issue?

Wattle Downs (where I live) is a suburb neighboring Manurewa (where OP is). We both are on VDSL. OP on BigPipe, Im on spark. Both on VDSL both with same issue.

Yes, Bigpipe is a Spark brand but the networks are independent.

Just had an outage covering multiple sites (got a tonne of notification emails). I thought at first it was me since I am running an Edgerouter on 1.9.7 Alpha firmware then my phone went nuts.

And now, IPv4 is down but IPv6 is still running (@IPv6Pipe you hearing this?) - weird.

@freitasm so annoying how the normal TinyMCE CDN is not IPv6 ready and so I have to edit this post in HTML... Do you think it is possible to switch TinyMCE to cdnjs which supports IPv6 and is hosted by Cloudflare?

And now we're back. Just a smaller outage lasting ~15mins. Looking at Smokeping it appears there was a bit of a ping spike and packet loss between 10-11pm on the 6th however IPv6 was largely unaffected then too.

Same here. Spark hold times too long for me to log on phone or chat.
I'll start a separate thread this arvo since I'm with spark if issue is still ongoing.

Bigpipe UFB Mt Eden, Auckland. Last night around 6pm onwards the internet was doing really weird inconsistent things.

Seemed like google/youtube wouldnt work. Tried the 'Internet speed test" that comes up in chrome and it was like dialup figures with the speed going all over the place.

Google searches seemed to wither and die.

I managed to stream something from the SBS website in Australia around 7.30 - which I was quite amazed it worked.

Then tried some content from C4 in the UK. Just kept buffering every couple of seconds.

Could access geekzone, stuff etc ok, but when I tried a VPN connection to my work (local in Auckland) it just kept disconnecting after around 20 seconds.

I finally rebooted the ONT and router around 9pm and it seemed everything came back to normal.

All websites responsive again - C4 would stream ok.

Internet speed tests looked ok again as far as I could tell.
