I have VDSL with Spark.

I have posted this topic in the Spark forum to hopefully get a reply from someone who can point me in the right direction, because I don't know whether to arrange (via Spark I assume) a Chorus Technician to check the line, wiring etc. or not. Note: I do have a master splitter.

Basically, on the 2 x Smart TV's, 1 MAC Laptop (Sierra) and a Windows 10 HO Laptop, every now and then I lose connection with the Internet.

Note: I am an amateur in networking.

I have googled as much as I can and switched on syslogging on my Synology NAS and on the Modem and Router.

The setup is as follows:

Spark (VDSL) -> Draytek Vigor 130 (Bridge Mode) [192.168.100.1] -> Edgerouter Lite 3 [192.168.1.1] -> Powerline (to other powerline devices).

At about 10:40pm last night it lost the internet connection. It took about 2 minutes to re-establish.

On the Vigor 130, the NAS recorded: [DSL] G.Vectoring Status: OFF

The Edgerouter Lite 3 recorded nothing.

The DS216Play NAS recorded: Failed to send email. (Failed to resolve host address.).

Note: I switched off informational messages from the Draytek Vigor 130, because they all seemed to be of the nature:

ADSL_Status:[Mode=8B States=SHOWTIME UpSpeed=7572000 DownSpeed=38451000 SNR=11 Atten=18 ]

(Note: It does say ADSL).

Are you losing VDSL signal or just the PPP layer?

My views are my own, and may not necessarily represent those of my employer.

Get a master filter, or just have everything except the master socket removed from the house wiring.  Assuming this is a naked VDSL service?

Sorry I don't know or know how to check.

As per my post 'I do have a master splitter.'

It is not naked VDSL (?), we have a landline.

Apologies I read it as "do not" for some reason

Do the disconnects relate at all to phone activity (ringing and/or off hook)?

In any case, I'd suggest raising it with Spark.

Totally unrelated.
