Hey everyone

My internet keeps on dropping... Like it lasts for 2mins and then it drops and when i try to open any page then th router login thing comes and it says
dsl line is activating, please 'try again' later..
After i click the try again button Then aftrwrds it says internet connected aftr couple of seconds and then abt 2 mins later same thing happens... Smtime its nt even 2 mins.. Sometimes it drops right away.
When i look at the router when that happens then the internet light goes off.. I changed the modem and the filter as well. Do u knw wt could be going wrong??

This is where we need to see @PeterReader back. Could you please post your line stats? Sounds like you've got a line issue.

What type of connection (ADSL/VDSL/UFB)? Do you have a monitored alarm?

Is this the same issue you had reported in a previous thread last year? i.e did the issue get resolved previously but has now come back? If it was resolved previously what was the solution last time?

You can get modem stats by logging into your admin panel, typically from 192.168.1.254 on the Spark Huawei modems.

Also, just a friendly reminder to quickly read over the FUG. Most of your posts in this thread have sms style abbreviations which makes my left eye twitch, and likely some other members too ;)

  • Be polite. Do not SHOUT. Do not post subject in ALL CAPITALS. Be considerate and use standard English, do not use SMS abbreviations.

Ok give this a go, you may need to follow your nose a bit however:

Username is admin, Password is admin

Should be a page under Maintenance I think which will show the DSL stats, if anyone knows for sure please chime in.

While there change your default password - don't want your modem becoming a bot !

Roh89: Adsl connection and no alarm monitoring

Alarm doesn't have to monitored, being connected to line causes the problem.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.
