Hey Geekzone,

I'm within range of a Spark 4G tower (just) and own a few large 4G antennas however Skinny's portal and customer support email won't sell me their product... Other addresses further away from this tower are accepted in their website and can be ordered for.

Does anyone offer 4G through Spark's towers that are more reasonable? (no other reception here)

Anyone got experience with just lying to Skinny, which seems like the best option currently (I can provide an address which would be locked to the same tower)?

Any other bright ideas, ADSL just doesn't cut it...

What does Spark's wireless broadband address checker come up with for your address?

I'm in a similar situation where Skinny's auto response is no " - you are in a pocket of no or limited 4G coverage" being the likely reason rather than capacity as other addresses on the same line of sight to the tower are OK. Spark seem to be more liberal as they say address OK. Skinny used to have something to the effect of if you can get 4G coverage using a phone call us but that seems to have gone.

Hi all,

I'm located just south of Shannon.

The address is accepted by Spark's RBI but I perfer Skinny's pricing, data caps and contract terms.

Sorry, but that Skinny Customer Care number is the most useless & unhelpful outfit I've rung for many years. All they do is look at the address checker on the Skinny website and say "sorry, not available". It's literally like the "Little Britain - Computer Says No" skit... but not nearly as funny.

Recent spark change allowed reps to see this in detail.

Alternatively only reps with mapping can give very clear details - Often it may just be one Sector that has congestion.

The Allowed area for Wireless BB is often less than the actual area that 4G will go for performance reasons.
