Recently got a replacement sim for an active number, now a micro sim. It worked fine in NZ but now I am in the UK it wont connect to any network, tried both an iphone 5c and 5s, they work with multiple uk sims (ie. they are unlocked) but not the spark one.

This means when I got to check my balance or top up I cant as I cant get the two factor text message... was looking on the spark homepage for an email address to raise this but there doesnt appear to be one. Anyone got a solution which doesnt involve ringing up (due to the time difference and potential hold time)?

What is the error when you action a manual network selection to a carrier on the handset?

There isnt an overt error, it sees the networks, but silently fails to connect to any. Has "No service" in the top left.

Are you even trying a manual network selection on the handset?

Can see carriers, can select a carrier manually, but remains saying "No Service".
Shows the carrier settings and ICCID and correct Spark phone number...

Thanks, per my original request, do you know is there an email address I can use as the phone call process is too cumbersome...

Even if roaming isn't active it should connect to a network.

Did you use the new SIM before you left NZ? I've seen it before where a new SIM won't activate while overseas on Spark. When you email spark make sure you give them the SIM number also (the number physically printed on the SIM).

A SIM card does not have the ability to control roaming, It's looked after on the mobile number on the HLR profile for the MSISDN, Roaming should not be removed cause of a SIM swap

I had this last night when i got off the plane in AU. No data, no text nothing, nothing, rebooted more than once, mobile data on, roaming on etc

Only started to work when I tried to make a phone call.  Waited for about 20 seconds before it started to ring and then everything worked again.

This was on a s8 and the first time I have ever seen this issue on any phone.
