BigPipe are being slack with posting here (strange) so I thought I'd better share:

From Facebook:

Bigpipe has just expanded the bigness of its pipes.

We can now provide fibre connections to those who live in Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Whakatane, Hamilton, Tokoroa, New Plymouth, Nelson, Blenheim, Ashburton, Christchurch,
Greymouth and Timaru.

If you're with Bigpipe and looking to make the change from DSL to Fibre, you can head to bigpipe.co.nz/login and use our nifty new Change Plan tool to see if you can make the change. As a bonus you will get a month of free fibre.

How's that for a deal!

Deal ends 30th of June, T's&C's apply, see website for me info.

Bummer, just cancelled 3 weeks ago because they couldn't offer fibre - good news for future planning though.

Just signed up, Khandallah, Wellington to replace Vodafone cable. Going for the 200/20 plan versus Fibrex which just seemed to have too much bad press for my liking.

Plan to use my Asus RT-AC66U rather than get the Huawei since I have so many custom routing rules in the Asus I am not sure I could duplicate them in the Huawei.

Now the wait for Chorus to bring the fibre from the street, along the driveway to my house. My current Vodafone cable runs through a conduit attached to the side of a fence on the property boundary. I suppose Chorus could do that.

Paid extra for fixed IP which I use extensively.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.
