Before I factory reset the thing has anyone hit this issue?

Two separate devices can't get an IP using any of the physical LAN ports. It appears to be connected on the router (ports lit up) but the router doesn't assign IP's nor allow fixed IP connections.Windows is just sitting there going 'identifying network' before giving up and defaulting to a 169.x.x.x address.

Everything was working fine up until the last half hour with no network changes. So far I've rebooted the router and done a bunch of things to the Windows PC's NIC (which I suspect isn't the problem as it's now got the latest drivers etc, and it's occurring on another device). Wifi works fine.

How many other devices are connected to it? Might be related to this thread: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=214828

There's a fair few devices that have registered against it over time, but <10 currently connected.

I have had weird issues on both the vodafone and spark versions.

One of them was a printing issue, power cycling would not resolve the issue but logging in to the GUI and restarting would.

Try restarting through the GUI.

Personally I would biff the HG659 and replace it with something better.

I've had one fail to connect via ethernet.

A full reset helped.

Check firmware while you're at it.

Yep, had to factory reset the sucker. I did save the config from before but aside from a handful of port forwards and noip settings I just started fresh.

On the plus side it forced the mrs to figure out how to setup the wifi on the TV
