Happy Tuesday folks. Hope the long weekend was relaxing.

Today we launched our new Skinny Direct plans, off the back of the arrival of interest free phones last week. This is very exciting for us and we feel like consumers will really benefit from the Skinny Direct offering going forward.

We will be removing from sale the existing $30 3GB plan. This means that new customers will not be able to sign up to this plan, however those people already on this plan will not have to move off it – they can continue to pay $30 as long as they keep their plan renewing and don't cancel it.

In it's place we have launched the $35 3GB plan which includes rollover data and unlimited calling and texting to both NZ and AU.

Next comes the $50 10GB plan which also includes rollover data and NZ and AU calling and texts.

We also have the fresh new $65 25GB plan once again including rollover data and unlimited calling and texting to NZ and Aussie. This is an absolute game changer!

Those on the $79 Unlimited plan will now get included Aussie calling and texts, while keeping everything else they had before. Obviously no rollover as it's unlimited. This is the only plan out of the four that doesn't allow tethering.

Check out the new plans here and have a gander at our interest free phones too. https://skinnydirect.co.nz/

Keen to hear your thoughts on these!

Chris

Oh. A bit disappointing for me as I don’t need Aussie calls and texts. An extra $5 each/28 days for wife and I for no gain.

Boo.

Edit, oh disregard. As long as I don’t lose my current $30 combo. Ok.

Additional edit - 30 days, not 28!

You don't need to change from the $30 plan if you don't want to. These are being grandfathered but if you are on these currently, then you can stay using it unless you cancel it. Also Skinny Direct plans are on a 30 day cycle.

Just saw your edit. No worries, and enjoy!

Great work - that is some seriously good value.

After my trip to France early next year I will seriously consider switching over as I won't be going anywhere beyond Australia for at least a couple of years so can live without affordable roaming.

A Skinny Direct plan and Skinny fixed wireless broadband would cut over $30 a month off my current cost.

I had just recommended someone to your $30 plan last night, sad to see the base plan start at $5 extra

When they say roll over data, is this a small portion of roll over or the whole lot?

Scroll down to Rollover Data

All of it and for 12 months by the looks of it, but it appears to use the current periods allocation first. After that the stuff that is oldest/closest to expiry.

Hmm. The $35 plan isn't bad at all, but for me personally the $30 plan is better value. Doubly glad I finally got around to switching to it a couple of weeks ago :)

Bugger, looks like I’m going to run out of data several days before my combo renews. I would normally cancel and then activate a new $30 combo. I guess I’m going to the $35 combo whether I like it or not :(
