We've just purchased the Morepork home security system (along with some extras like the smoke alarm) and so far so good.

It works well, with the possible exception of the photo frame functionality. The limit of 20 photos at 800x480 pixels is a bit ridiculous. But that's hardly the main feature.

Anyway, my question is: Does anyone know the range of the image sensors? Will they pick up movement 10 metres away?

Thanks in advance.

You could use the scientific principle of experimentation to determine sensor efficacy.

Indeed I could. I was wondering if anyone knew of an authoritative answer.

It picks up movement at 6 metres, so that's fine for me.

Check alarm dot com web site as the Morepork system is just a re-badged alarm dot com system.

Their online site says its range at night is 4.5 meters, nothing about during the day. I'd flick them a note via the website asking them.
