Hey GZers,

Has anyone encountered this on the unlimited plan?

Tethering blocked

It seems even though I have an active tether pack (1GB for $1) even after an hour of waiting I'm still blocked from tethering.

It's not major, I purchased the $10 tether pack and now I can tether, but it is annoying.

Hi! I'm TheoM, but you know that already. I run Linux mirrors in NZ together with 2degrees. Like a mirror added? PM me!

Have you turned handset off and back on again or into flight mode for 30 seconds?

Linux

Linux

I mean, it shouldn't be needed. I've purchased the packs before, they've been activated in a matter of minutes, and I'm away. That said, yes, I did try that (since it's probably the first step you should take).

Is there a limit on how many you can buy in a month?

I couldn't find anything on the $1 one, but for the $10 one it has only one per 30 days.

afaik it's one per month, so if you need 5GB you need to buy $10 of tethering data.

Went over? How's that possible (it's a new pack purchased in another billing cycle)

alternatively, didn't apply/process for some reason? delays in the system?

I'm purely shooting in the wind here. Happy to drill down to your specific case if you wanna DM me details.
