Given you have an old device, would Spark ever upgrade you to something newer? What is the situation - I'm not sure as I'm not with Spark and manage my own network hardware.

Depends on situation etc.

at a brush over this, It seems exactly as the OP has come to.

Likely just a firmware upgrade required. we wouldn't replace a device for that.

An upgrade to a 659b wouldn't be the worst of ideas. I'm unsure if the 16/32 device limits on wifi apply to the hg630b.

I have "HG630bV100R001C55B023" version - is this still the latest?

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

On an HG630b with newest firmware, does the device limit still exist? If not and they have fixed other issues then agreed its a good step forward.

A new device would also support AC networking etc.

Cant confirm. I've only offically tested the 659b issues and surfaced them for a soultion.

Past that i cant really comment on what results come before they are out.
Personally. I try not to supply 630bs and have done this for the last year or so.

For most, its the halfway device.
At this stage its No longer sold.

Why isn't the firmware up on the Spark HG630B page?
