The past couple of night I've gotten spam from the phone number 8222 advertising an online casino. Fortunately my phone is in airplane mode at night so I only see it in the morning.

My phone Huawei P9 doesn't seem to have a spam feature. Is there any way Spark can block this spam before it reaches my phone? I know about this page but you have to get at least 3 calls / txts before they'll do anything. I filled it in anyway.

Does DIA feed block lists to telcos? If not there's no point as it's advertising a service outside NZ.

No it does not block and you should still report it as the Shortcode is setup NZ based

I clicked on the spark "live chat" icon in both Chrome and IE, all that happened was I got a line appearing at the top of the page telling me about Auckland outage. Chat doesn't seem to work.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Thanks for that Spark link @timmmay. I've just filled it out, as I keep getting spam calls from the UK. Multiple times a day in some cases.

As for chat not working, if you have an ad blocker try disabling it. I found that in order to get Spark Chat to work I had to do this.

@Lorenceo Why do you think the calls are from the UK? Don't say cause caller ID displays +44xxxxxxxx

I hadn't put much thought into it. Entirely possible that whoever wants me to call them back and ding me with an excessive charge to my phone bill isn't in the UK. :)
