Hey telco guys.... what is the code I can dial from an analog landline to have it read back to me the phone number of the line?

0832 01234 will work on most providers

Tried to use the old 1957? recently to no avail. Figured they have ditched it? :(

Yep 1957 is still good on NEAX lines. 083201234 is good, but if you dial that on a say a POTS/ISDN stepper it will read back the pilot number or whatever CLI is presented.

 

Some VoIP providers send 1957 to 083201234 which can be confusing sometimes.

137/136 was exchange ringback. Normal or constant tone (find missing handsets or annoying ringers around the place)
