for some weeks I have been receiving SPAM emails from what looks like NZ companies

etc and been blacklisting etc. In the weekend I find from family and friends on xtra mail

they receive exactly the same junk. Friends on other providers  don't  seem to receive

any. What has happened?

Look at the email header and you will see the actual email address they are coming from

Basically. It appears whatever filtering level they subscribe to. Sucks

quoting the obvious. I know how to track to source etc but my friends

just delete in frustration. I am looking how widespread it is.

Very. Just look at Sparks recent posts by users on facebook

They have a report spam button. But its only available with the online portal. And although many are doing it they keep pleading for.

Think yourself lucky. Or your mailclient caught it. As there has always been an issue with a leaked account on a russian site 'to' spoof of m_jackson@xtra (just search it to see)

Kiwibank is always telling me I had a security breach...

Until recently I was getting virtually no spam on my main Xtra account. Most (but not all) of what I've been getting lately has arrived at the Xtra server from more-or-less the same place. It also seems like I'm getting off lightly compared to some of the reports I've seen.

Its on the webmail site  so gets downloaded to mail clients like Outlook 2016, Thunderbird and my android cellphone. Blacklisting is ineffective as although only a small no of country codes are used the @mailprovider changes constantly

Please tell where exactly is the Report Spam button? Is it on webmail.xtra.co.nz?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

pull the other leg. When viewing the email on webview on the right hand side of the message is what some call a hamburg (3 lines above each over) In there is options to mark as spam (top) and blacklist (bottom). Can do it in my sleep.

I don't know whether something is being lost in translation. But what's with quoting my reply to other users as your own as if I am trying to fool people

Not exactly 'pulling ones leg' in confirming yes, the option is available on xtramail.co.nz as he (or she) asked.
