When you sign up to Spark online and specify that you are moving from another ISP, you are asked to enter your old ISP account number.

The problem is that Bigpipe uses your email address as the account number, but the Spark signup page will only allow letters and numbers to be entered in that field.

This results in being unable to enter your BigPipe account details.

It doesn't. OP is right, the account number is the same as the email address.

Well you always can leave, but it wouldn't be seamless since it would have to go through abandonment?

No idea. I'm waiting for the inevitable call querying it as I had to enter the account as "name at domain dot net dot nz"!
