Hi all,

We’ve got some great news!

Enable who build and install the fibre network in greater Christchurch have recently completed their fibre broadband roll-out, 19 months ahead of schedule. To celebrate they are doubling the download speed of their 100/20 residential broadband service! We want to pass on these benefits to you at no extra cost.

What does this mean for you?

Current 100/20 customers:

Your Bigpipe broadband plan has automatically been changed from the Starter 100/20 UFB plan to the Pro 200/20 UFB plan at no extra cost, effective today.

Current 200/20 customers:

On your next bill date, your Pro 200/20 Bigpipe broadband plan price will automatically be dropped from $99 to $79.

Just sit back and relax, because you don’t need to make any changes at your end. Your contract terms will remain the same. So go on, stream your heart out at a cheaper price.

Cheers,

The Bigpipe People

Price discount provided to customers on the Pro 200/20 UFB plan who are connected via the Enable network in the Christchurch region only.

That's excellent news thanks.

I've been following the Enable upgrade thread under New Zealand Broadband and feeling a little disillusioned after losing ipv6 as well but this has cheered me up no end even thought I probably won't notice much difference with my normal usage.

One of the reasons I joined Bigpipe in the first place was that that I felt they were a bit more agile and responsive than some of the bigger boys.

Thanks to everyone who made this change possible.

The BP/skinny team here are very much matured in their agile state, they have been running it from partially the start. So plenty of time to get oiled up!

the autonomous nature they all work in to bring things to play is impressive to see internally :) #goals?

Got the message yesterday and my speed hasn't updated yet. I suspect it is being rolled out in stages somehow. 105 Down/17 Up
