Hi -- I just bought me a Lenovo Tab 4 8" Plus, and very nice it is too.  What I wanted was data, so I put a Skinny sim in for testing purposes, and data works fine.  I knew it didn't do phone calling (I didn't need that), but I find it does text fine too (which seems a little odd since it doesn't function as a phone).

However, it peeves me that I have to buy minutes, in every plan I have looked at, in order to get data--and never use them (and ever have them carrying over...)

Really, I just want data.  Is there nothing out there that just provides that?

Data only packs start from $4 a month.

Just scroll down page to get away from combos that include minutes.

2 degrees data sharing, works wonders

i have a the 55 dollar plan and get 10gb every month, i share that data with the wife, my laptop and a 4g modem that i use at work for testing.

i rearly use the 10gb of data so it rolls over and i currently have 65gb to use which is more than enough for all the devices

the sims that are in my lap top and the 4g modem are only prepay sims and have no credit on them, they are just being shared the data from my main account

Bit late to the party but I was given a data only sim for a device from Vodafone so if anyone was needing something similar maybe try them.
