Hi All,

New to the forum. Does anybody know if the hardware in the Linksys WRT 32X supports VLAN tagging for use with Spark fibre? I wish to bypass the supplied Spark router and connect direct to the Chorus box.

The hardware is identical to that found in the AC3200 model.

I wish to use the 32X with DD-WRT firmware which this model supports.

I bought the router from a large, well known computer retailer in NZ who assured me it does support VLAN tagging but I am unable to get the router to connect to Spark and Linksys support are next to hopeless.

https://www.linksys.com/us/p/P-WRT32X/

Would anyone be able to advise?

Thank you very much

Hi John,

I did see that link but Linksys support said according to their information the router hardware absolutely did not support VLAN tagging ,so I thought I’d just put it out there and see if anyone has anything they can share.

Would you believe the VLAN tagging option is not present under the stock firmware on the 32X but is on the 3200, yet it's the same hardware and the 32x is more expensive.

If I do indeed need to SSH into the router and change the settings to add support for VLAN tagging I would also need to ensure the VLAN tag is set at 10 in the DD-WRT firmware too?

Thanks
