Hey! Free Data Weekends are here! Keep renewing your current plan & get 2GB free data to use every weekend until 3rd March. Starts 5PM today, ends midnight Sunday. Free 2GB doesn't rollover. See skinny.co.nz/fdw for more info. /Skinny

Just received the above text..... awesomeness (if that’s a word 😁)

I’m only on $16 plan.

But your rollover data gets used first

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Nope.

My roll over data has stayed the same, and the bonus data has dropped to 1.99 GB available.

@livingskinny can you confirm what data should be being used first?

Just downloaded a 2.2GB file used up the bonus, still have 4point something Gig left in rollover. Can confirm out works as it should, bonus first.

Super tempted to switch from Skinny Direct for this :(

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

You may find this table useful.
Using a combination of the $66 and $16 plans over 1 year (365/28=13)

I did. There’s now no fee to do it. Go for it.

Cheers,

Jase2985:

Your earliest expired data is always used first. Since rollover data expires in 365 days time, the 2GB weekend pack will be used first. I can confirm in the two weekends that I have been on the plan, no usage comes from my rollover data during the weekend

I have a feeling that Spark are going to ditch the Skinny Direct brand sooner rather than later. They haven't had any advertsing in ages, and compared with the plans that Skinny released earlier this year, there really is no huge different in the price. Skinny Directs roaming rates (at least to Australia) are also a shocker compared to Skinny.

Yep, I'd say so:

How can I buy a Skinny Direct Plan?

We’ve stopped selling Skinny Direct plans to new customers. That’s because Skinny’s mobile plans have got more awesome, and offer just as much (if not more) data, so we’ve decided to keep things simple.

So, if you’re looking for a great new mobile plan that’s loaded with data, check out Skinny’s plans here. Join today and get 2GB Free Data Weekends on any mobile rollover plan all summer long*.

If you’re already with Skinny Direct, don’t worry! You can continue using your plan and account for now, just as you always did. Log into your dashboard here.

Still think 2D Dataclock ‘free hour’ every day works out way better for big downloads/app updates though 🤔

Just made the move from Skinny Direct $30 to Skinny Mobile $16.

My Skinny Direct was due to renew on Saturday.... So good timing.
