How the heck do you get this Xtra firmware off to put generic firmware on?

When I go to upload generic it wont let me.

Someone mentioned a firmware update utility, or use a exe firmware, but I cant see a exe for a rev.c 502t on the dlink website????

Help!

try installing a custom firmware such as http://openwrt.org/



Double check that your modem is supported first so you don't brick it

I did download the AU version and installed using their weird LAN upgrade method. Just make sure you're not on wireless.
