I don't need/want the Skinny Broadband modem but the no contract plan doesn't seem to have any option of removing it from the order.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Have you got a Skinny broadband modem already or a modem from another company?

If the latter - you need to purchase a modem from Skinny.

Do I need the Skinny Unlimited modem?

Yes you do. If you sign up on our 12 month contract option you’ll get the awesome Skinny Unlimited HG659 modem for free, otherwise you’ll need to purchase it for $99. This modem has been configured to work right out of the box with a super simple setup to make things easy as. You are not able to bring your own modem to connect with Skinny Unlimited.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Since Skinny cannot supply what you want just go to another ISP. It's a buyers market.

This is very true. I was actually just shopping around for 1Gbit plan and came across the Skinny offering.

Yeah they actually forced my Mother in Law to buy their modem, even though she was moving from Spark, and her old modem seamlessly switched over when ‘Skinny’ took over the account and she only knew it HAD swapped over when she rang up to find out how/when to connect the new modem and was told she was already setup!
