So I have visited https://www.spark.co.nz/sport and read the 7 question FAQ and registered my interest. However for the life of me I can't find a way to have some questions answered, FAQ 7 just tells you to register your interest.

Primarily I'd like to know when this service is launching more specifically than "early 2019". There is a very good reason for wanting to know this, and that is they have won the rights to broadcast the Formula 1 - which starts on March 15th. With Spark having exclusive rights to broadcast there are no legal alternatives if the service is not ready for the start of the season in 37 days...

Now I realise that F1 isn't everyone's cup of tea (I'm an avid fan and haven't missed a race in 20+ years), but take a moment and imagine this was the rights to All Blacks games and the first game of the season was coming up  - it would be all over the news and people would be losing their collective minds over the lack of info so close to the event.

I can't help but feel if you win the broadcast rights for a major sport (in fact the 7th most viewed sport globally right behind Rugby) then you should be ready to broadcast it.

If there is a Spark employee that could comment, or if someone knows of a way to contact or get some answers regarding the service that would be fantastic.

Edit: Apologies, I have just found an existing topic in the Online Streaming Services forum https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=151&topicid=243610 however there is no info there either. Being a Spark service i'd argue it fits here also?

I've just seen this on the Autocar NZ Facebook page..

https://www.autocar.co.nz/autocar-news-app/formula-one-may-not-be-screened-live-in-new-zealand?fbclid=IwAR2HKn_CXP8pbAkHcAVoSZMH9VjJIyDJ-U1EIWpbsVKCN-5Td5Otiwofxeo

They've reached out to Spark Sport for comment.

Also on the Autocar NZ Facebook page was this comment from a user, regarding pricing
