Hello,

Just watched the YouTube clip talking about SparkSport delivery via the Akamai CDN.

If there is anything to share, could BigPipe share any technical details around BigPipe as an ISP and connection to Akamai network and cache.

Really keen to ensure smooth content delivery when watching SparkSport

If there isn't really anything to share then no worries, but thought I would ask :-)

BigPipe use Spark's network, therefore I'd assume Spark's Akamai CDN nodes around the country. So I'm sure there will be no issues with smooth delivery as long as you're using BigPipe's DNS servers.

As per the above comment, Bigpipe (and Skinny for the matter) use the Spark Akamai servers for which I'm responsible. There's heaps of distributed capacity. Getting towards Rugby World Cup it will be even more critical than it is now to use the correct DNS servers.

So using Bigpipe DNS servers are key?

Using your ISPs DNS servers is almost always the best idea. I'm not giving a lot of detail here because there's some background stuff happening that's not done yet, but Yes, use the automatically assigned DNS servers you get from the modem - it will ensure the best mapping for the Akamai servers.
