I just switched to Unplan Entertainment as now that it covers the cost of Netflix it will save me a few bucks a month. The Spark website says the plan also includes Lightbox:

but now that the plan-change has gone through I cannot see anything in 'My Spark' to indicate that I am getting Lightbox. In the 'Your Services' section it only mentions Netflix:

Not that I'll probably ever use Lightbox but if I'm meant to have it I want it.

Actually now that I've posted that screenshot I see they've put the in-date of the plan as 14/02/19, which is wrong and presumably means I'm in for some fun incorrect pro-rata billing on the next bill. Joy.

Cheers!

It’s normal, ours doesn’t list it either, only Netflix.

Go here to get underway with setting up Lightbox: https://www.spark.co.nz/getmore/lightbox/

Email comes about a week after signing up, After that email comes you will be able to redeem using the link provided above.

The delay is all around how your voucher is produced.

There is an enhancement on the way which will have lightbox added to it (probably not all at once though)

The Date thing is weird. I suspect that myspark has gotten the two products and been confused.

I'd love the example as it's the first i'm seeing this issue, @steve98 please DM me your account number and i'll do some digging..

I didn't realise that the entertainment pack unplan isn't just limited to 6 months of netflix.

I signed up to Spark about 7 months ago, and thought I had been put onto the Unplan plan, as it had come out just before I signed up. But it appears I was put on FibreBASIC Broadband and Landline, which included 6 months of free netflix, but also has lightbox. So it looks like a more expensive version of the unplan entertainment package. If I was to switch to the unplan entertainment package, would that lock me into a new 12 month contract?

The odd thing is that the pricing on the 1 step upgrade says it would cost $105 per month, which is the same as it is currently charging for the 30 speed fibre basic plan.. Yet if I go through the cart to upgrade and customise it to a faster speed, it says it is $88 per month on the faster 100 speed plan.

Sounds like you arent on unplan.

the first iteration of unplan entertainment had the 6 month voucher on it. Now it's completely bound to your billing (so far better value for those who previously had a voucher)

Terms are complex, so i'll avoid commenting till i have the docs in front of me. My instant thought is no you wont

i cant replicate this, i suspect your going through the move journey - Please DM me screenshots of the page that it says 105 and i'll be able to better comment.

Thanks. I think it was because the left sidebar cart that shows the total, said 'from $88'. Where it doesn't appear it was adding on all the addons. So once I got to the final checkout page, it then displayed the true value.

Ah. Yup. Your comparing "from" and "up to" figures.

I can understand the confusion there. Will have it looked at :)

Just to confirm. Did the plan name your currently on come from myspark or myspark app?
The tabs show the simplified name. In more details the real plan shows in app.
