as the title explains. i cant receive txts. my phone tells me i have no room for messages and a little flashing icon stays in the top left corner of the screen for a while. now sure this is easy you say. well, get this. my inbox, outbox, sent items, archive and drafts folders are all empty. and even then, the phone is set to overwrite messages anyway. any ideas?

I'd recommend taking back to place of purchase for a software upgrade.

Yep, it's just a software upgrade needed.  Write down all your contacts in case you lose them in the upgrade.  Take your proof of purchase with you!

It needs a firmware update, if he can do that then great, otherwise as has been mentioned take it back to point of purchase with your receipt.
