Spark have found new ways to annoy customers.

Our bill is due on 7th June and as usual I have set up a bank payment for that date.

So 2 whole days before that I get a "Pay now to avoid a late payment fee" email.

It goes on.."Your bill is due on 7 June 2019. Please pay $xxx.xx immediately to avoid a late payment fee."

I would expect that tone if I was already a day late. But 2 days before??

Demanding payment 2 days before its due date is BAD customer service.

Do other companies do this?

You should really set the payment to go out 2 business days before hand and it's just a reminder don't get so upset about nothing

Setting the payment to go out on the due date is just asking for trouble as it might take 2 business days to reach Spark

Edit: No it's not bad customer service it's customer focused so you don't get a late payment fee
