Data caps have moved up.

No sign of Spotify on anything smaller than an unlimited plan

No Lightbox on anything smaller than an unlimited plan

No bonus data

Unlimited hot spotting for $8.70/month (might have been there previously but only just noticed)

The plan I was billed $59.98 inc GST for appears now to be $59.99, so they must have addressed the rounding error :)

Wonder how long it will take this time, for their idiot management to realise this is a dumb move?

That comment seems unnecessarily harsh and rude.

Strange how they haven’t rolled this out to the consumer plans, too. $79.99 for 18gb shared data is better than 7.5gb - I’ll tell you that

Some feedback on these changes, based upon my use of the old $52.16 +GST plan

My use case:

  • Data use 4-8GB  (rollover data is very useful) so the data cap increase is welcome.
  • Use a lot of voice services to Au and NZ
  • Spotify is used on the phone frequently
  • Occasionally use Lightbox at home where I have the unplan without entertainment.
  • Frequently tether the laptop to the phone while at client premises.

To obtain the same scenario under the new plans, I'd need to take the unlimited $69.56/month plan + tether option $8.70/month = $78.26 + GST

This is over $26 ex GST per month higher than the current plan, which is close to the cost of Spotify + Lightbox. This means it is feasible to change providers, albeit I would lose some tax advantages given a separated Spotify + Lightbox service won't be tax deductible as a business expense.

In short, the new plans don't work for me but I will continue on with the grandfathered plan in the mean-time while I look at options.
