Interesting letter in the mail from Spark tonight.

Apparently my copper landline is being upgraded to a wireless landline

The booklet says im getting a power backup, a wireless connection box and a main phone with a second phone.

Well what if I dont want to change because I have my house wired to use landline for two different base stations and handsets that work perfectly well and one of them is a bedside alarm combo unit that my parents dont want to replace?

Looks like i'm in for 2 hours of hold time tomorrow to get more helpful information than what the booklet has in it, like what this is going to do to my VDSL connection with 2Degrees over the copper line.

Sigh, why cant you just leave things that are not broken alone???

It should not impact your xDSL connection with 2degrees

Copper is not going away. You don't have to change if you don't want to.

Don't let anyone tell you differently - see this here.
