the fiber isn't slow, the wifi connection you are using is slow.

sounds to me like your connecting at 2.4ghz (and likely an older device has pulled it down to 20mhz)

you need to move onto using 5ghz.

You're not listening to what the experienced people here are telling you. You won't get help like that.

stop testing over wifi

test with an Ethernet connection to rule wifi out as being the issue

then answer the rest of the questions

well with fiber im only getting like 20mbps down with my vdsl connection i was getting around 45mbps down

so i  don't think it its my wifi because even testing my phone next to the modem i get the speed is only slightly faster speed around 21mbps

So... your 2.4ghz bandwidth switched from 40mhz to 20mhz, your speed halfed.

I'd simply give the router a reset honestly...

Then unfortunately, your setup isn't able to perform the required troubleshooting for proper help. We still don't even know what plan you are on. (But if you tell us, the suggestion is STILL going to be that you need to test with a wired interface - probably)

you need to rule out WiFi as the issue and prove your connection so maybe move your computer to test.

but im going to say i and others in this tread will be about 99.5% sure the issue is with your wifi

I have removed quite a few off-topic replies.

The issue is simple: it's not your fibre. It's your WiFi. Sort out using 5 GHz where possible (close to your AP) and you will get better speeds. Even better, use ethernet. Make sure your devices use 5 GHz or have updated drivers if using 2.4 GHz.

You want faster speeds, you need to allow for faster speeds.
