Hi Geekzone,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

We have had 2 separate customers ring us in the past few days with issues that they can not send emails through there xtra account from outlook.

They are getting a 554 5.7.1 Message rejected due to possible spam content message back from the server (it does not matter who they are sending the email to)

Did a plain text email as a test and still got the message rejected.

This started last week, they could not send Monday and Tuesday then it came right for until the Sunday, Its now Thursday and they still can not send any email from outlook via there xtra account.

No settings have changed at there ends, however one of them tested using the Windows 10 Mail App and that sent email fine.

Thus far with multiple calls to Spark the only outcome is dont use Outlook.  (These are business customers that have been using xtra email with outlook for years and have had no problems until now)

Any information on this would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

"These are business customers that have been using xtra email"

You really need to be quite blunt and tell them that @xtra is not a business class email system .
At least recommend a move to gmail or 365.
Not a fix , but just some reality.

@xtra have a loooong history of email issues , including the ongoing (all year on and off !!) spam filter issues .
Theres a very good chance they wont even be receiving all incoming email as some legit incoming will be getting blocked
This is not want a business wants , where a blocked email could cost them sales .

Not just an anti xtra rant (I still use it at home) , but first advise them to move to a more bus/pro email system .

--------------

try a test email without any email sigs
Try from another Internet IP , try hotspot from a ph. They may have a blacklisted IP
Perhaps their email adress has partially triggered the spam filter , due to "spamming" (or mass mailouts) from that email

This has just started happening with a client also using Outlook 2010/IMAP in the last 48-72 hours.

Please can someone from Spark here help shed some light on this?

0800 110 062, explain to them the issue and provide a few examples.

I'm incredibly occupied by my day to day right now.. dont really have time to chase the teams.
