The Spark plans offer Netflix Standard.

How is upgrade to 4K plan handled?
- stays on same bill?
- have to pay Netflix direct?
- in that case paying the difference or full amount and losing advantage?

Did this a week or so ago. We were on NF Premium, signed up for Spark Unplan Entertainment - which included LB and NF Standard. After signing, you can go to MySpark and upgrade to NF Premium and they will add $3.50 to your monthly Spark bill. All done simply and hassle-free.

What I didn’t realise at the time was that Unplan also included a free SS RWC Tournament Pass. Got a nice-surprise email from them the day after signing saying ‘here’s your voucher number’. I had already paid but there was a simple procedure to get a refund, then go back in and re-purchase with the voucher.

That's a shame, this process is very simple to understand and well detailed for the reps internally..

Upgrade is a click of a button, from netflix or spark side. You pay the difference, through your spark bill. It's all a bundled service.

For some reason i recall it being $4 not $3.50 but maybe i'm miss recalling or had rounded it..

The way it's built it's totally integrated and seamless, no silly vouchers etc anymore.

Out of interest which journey did you go through? the Upgrade to entertainment plan button in myspark or the online store?

Free bonus for you none the less :)

MySpark

Ah yep, It's not made clear in that journey that you get it as a bonus, it's just an extra gift as it flows through the lower systems.

Basically it's not promised you get it, as you still have to meet a few conditions.

In the majority of upgrades like that you do get it though :)

@hio77

Does my email address associated with MySpark (Spark account) need to be the same as my email address associated with Netflix if I was to join Unplan Entertainment and take advantage of the NF sub being part of the Unplan cost?

Back story: I used to be with Spark a year ago (hence have a My Spark login) before we moved overseas, we return in early November. Currently the MySpark profile says it has no Spark accounts associated with it - which would be correct as we terminated all services before we left NZ.

I don't want to change my NF email address as then the family will lose their viewing profiles with NF.

The email address associated with MySpark is my main email address. The NF email address is a secondary one forced on me back in the days when NZ did not have legitimate access to NF.

Cheers

I am on Unplan Entertainment, and have different email addresses for NF and MySpark. From memory you get prompted to login into your Netflix account when you redeem the Spark offer.

You link your netflix account via myspark. No need to change anything. It will just pause your billing and replace it with spark billing. Spark actually never even know what your account is.
