Hi,
I have several clients supplied with Spark's Huawei HG659b modem. Most of these installations have third party Wi Fi access points to accomodate past the 32 device limit. I have recently encountered an issue where certain services don't work on the external AP because they are on another prefix (as the AP has DHCP). I'm wondering if the device limitation on the Huawei HG659b is to do with actual clients connected to it or if it's about WiFi being utilized. What I'm getting at is can I disable DHCP on the AP and have clients grab an IP from the Huawei HG659b or will the device limit be imposed?
Or, would it be better to have it all run thru the AP instead? I'm just worried clients will have issues and call Spark and be told to hardware reset their routers which would cause conflicts. I guess that's just something I'll have to anticipate.
