For the past wee while (maybe a couple of weeks) I haven't been able to open the App Store on my iPhone 8 while connected to Skinny 4G. I get the little spinner saying "loading", then after 10 seconds it comes up with "cannot connect to App Store". If I connect to Wi-Fi then it works fine. Rebooting the phone hasn't helped.

In case it's location-based, I'm usually in Whakatane but am currently in Tauranga. The issue occurs in both places.

Has anyone else run into this?

Mobile data turned on for it?

Good thinking, but it is indeed on. It actually gives a different message if it's turned off.

Just tried an iPhone on Skinny 4G and it accesses the app store fine, so suggests it something to do with your phone itself.

Is iOS up to date (13.2.3 came out in the last couple of days)?

Bit of a brute force approach, but try restarting the phone, and signing out/in to the app store as well.

Scrap what I wrote, as it won’t connect on wifi trying again.

Check date settings, as if out by days it won’t connect to store.

Re wrote post as trying again getting different results, where it won’t connect to store on wifi now as well with incorrect date.

Since iOS 13 and the new look App Store app, I also have been having intermittent connection problems. I just get a white screen with spinning gear wheel when I start the app or infinite download spinning indicators against the updatable app's. Resetting the app or iPhone 7 sometimes works. Now I just close the app, wait 5 minutes and try again and that almost always works.

Sorry a slight highjack here:

Never had these or so many other problems with pre iOS13 versions. This iOS version, IMO, is the most troublesome release yet and funny enough just this morning I read this: Inside Apple’s iPhone Software Shakeup After Buggy iOS 13 Debut

This is a click through from https://9to5mac.com/2019/11/21/bloomberg-ios-14-ios-13/

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Try the reset network settings. Settings > General > Reset > Network settings.

Sorry, I was so busy at work yesterday that I didn't get a chance to try some of this until now. Resetting network settings did it. Thanks! :)
