I do not have an ethernet port unfortunately.

All it says on front is Internet, I presume that goes green once connected?

At the moment I have it setup and powered on (although there are no lights to indicate this). I can see an open network called "Hidden Network"

When I try to connect to that, it asks for the SSID. I cannot see an SSID on the device but it does have a Modem Name and Modem password. Im presuming the SSID is the Modem Name?

They do not have an FAQ for the modem yet.

Hiden network is for the mesh. Its not actually there but many devices read mesh like that.

Default authentication is admin admin. It will ask you to update at first login

Green is good to go.

I think OP wants to know the wifi network name and password - is wifi turned on out of the box with these units?

Should be on the back of the modem... but i'll admit i've mainly used Spark Variants.

@BigpipeNZ are probably best to confirm.

yeah will check with them tomorrow, these are not the HG659 that I got for $10 that Im currently using.

No idea what brand they are, debranded. Has a name and a password, but doesnt match whats available. I have both the power button and its wifi button pressed in. As I mentioned it does not light up anything to let you know. It has a strip across the front that will light up when net is good to go. but right now im just trying to get into the router itself.

Its not the hidden network. I just turned it off and thats still there. Quite puzzling.

Just give it a reset, and wait 5 mins should be good from there.

Ok yep under the name card is the good stuff, IP gate way etc. They are made by Arcadyan

Side next to the Wifi reset button goes Blue when wifi is on, Front that says Internet is red when not connected, I assume goes green when connected.

Default device IP is under the Router name and Password, the card slides out.

Will test tomorrow for speed etc and range vs the HG659. I guess its time to sell my $400 netcomm that I thought I was future proofing myself with, only does  N not AC. Oh well, was damn good router for VDSL.
