Hi there,

Spending a few days for work in Suva.  What a great idea, $20 for 7 days of calls and texts and a gig of data.  Sweet, sort of.  Calls and texts working well.  Data isn't.  3 goes with Skinny support and they have given up on me offering my $20 back.  Would really prefer to have access to the internet outside of my customer's office.

Any ideas?  Nokia 5.1 running Android 9.  Should be this hard should it?

Scott

Double check your APN settings. I had this issue with the wife's Nokia 5.1 in Fiji on skinny.

Also make sure Roaming Data is on

As above make sure the Skinny APN is correct in the APN settings

Sorry for slow response.  I had 3 support calls with Skinny and in the end they drew a blank, shrugged their shoulders, and offered a credit.  I then purchased a local Digicell SIM (the provider that Skinny was using) and it worked fine.   About $5NZD for 8GB for the week.

Price is good, unless you need your phone number. But yes, check that roaming is enabled for both voice and data.

Did you 100% have the APN correct? This has been the issue with most Skinny roaming issues people have posted about on here. If you put in a new Digicel SIM it would load their APN settings so things would work.
