Apologies in advance if this has been asked before..

On a Business Broadband UFB connection, can DHCP on VLAN 10 be requested as opposed to the standard PPPoE?

The reason I ask is that one our firewalls (FortiGate) does not apply hardware acceleration to traffic when you have PPPoE on the WAN interface.

DHCP on VLAN 10 would work better for us - just wondering if a special request can be made?

Cheers

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Spark can't however smaller ISP's like Voyager likely can do something for you as they've got quite a bit more flexibility with their network.

Might end up with a potato in place of an ONT for a few months though until someone tags a certain CEO in to fix any "changes" made

Vodafone would be my absolute last choice for any broadband connection, never mind entrusting them with a business one. As above, I'd try Voyager.

If you get a good account manager it's fine, even a crap one is still way less hassle than dealing with residential stuff. Can honestly say having dealt with both that I don't think Vodafone business is any worse than Spark business. Vodafone residential on the other hand, is a special tier of hell.

Yeah. We had significantly better business (corporate rather than SME) service from Vodafone than Spark.
