By June 2009 we will launch our new mobile network.

It will provide our customers with the best nationwide coverage, the fastest internet on their mobile, a wide range of world-leading handsets, an easier experience when travelling overseas, better access to websites, music and business applications – as well as reliable access to all the basics like calling and texting.

Bear in mind the statement says "by June 2009" - could be sooner!  I'm guessing that they'd be busting a gut to get it done and ready for commercial launch ASAP.  It's great news though.

June 2009 has been the expected launch date for ~ 4-5 months now, ever since the November date was pushed back. There aren't any surprises.
