Hi all,

I have switched to Spark and taken up the new 3GB Endless Data plan. I have noticed the upstream speed seems to always limited to 1.5Mbps.

Downstream is around 50Mbps which is fine. Is the upstream intended to be limited to the 1.5Mbps?

I have been using the Speedtest app and with various servers.

Any suggestions?

Had a chat with the mobile network folk on this, there isn't any limitations on upstream.

My best bet would be that your on a cell edge, and Carrier aggregation is allowing your downstream to look good.

Both networks and my advice would be to try in more locations.

@hio77

I have tried a few different locations, although not sure how many cell sites there are in Hastings so i could be bouncing off the same one?? The signal strength is 5/5

Are there any settings from porting the number in to spark and the provisioning of the plan that could have gone wrong??

it just seems strange as 2degrees and vodafone in the same location are well up (20Mbps on average)
