I am having trouble with some services there is two dsl connections to the same address, but I want to port one of them.

Can anyone help me with a way to get the ASID numbers based off the phone number?

You don't need an ASID to port a phone number.

As mentioned you don't need an ASID number to port a phone number also be careful porting the phone line as depending on the setup they might disconnect the DSL

If you are wanting to churn the DSL from one provider to another any of us who have access to that stuff can get you the ASID but your new provider should be able to look this up also

Apologies yes it’s the DSL service that is the issue not the phone number.

My new provider has been unable to differentiate the two DSL services.

This isn’t a normal residential or commercial location, it has two dsl one on each side of the road, but both with the same address.

My new provider has been unable to differentiate the two DSL services.

This isn’t a normal residential or commercial location, it has two dsl one on each side of the road, but both with the same address.

As it's a POTS on connection based on what you've posted above there should be zero issue as the ASID and phone number are linked and both clearly visible in Chorus systems. If they can't differentiate between these two connections and identify the correct one I'd be searching for a more competent RSP to move to!

I wonder if the most accurate way is to have the current provider(s) get the ASID(s) based on IP address(es)?

As Steve said

They should see ASID xxxx attached to phone number xxxx plus asid with no phone number attached

Unless the POTS and the two DSL lines come in on three different copper pairs, in which case we cant tell either as it will just show us "other provider" all of them

there are some providers that don't seem to see anything but ASID's. in my experience this was only providers that are wholesale through another so likely limited by the systems they are given.

often providers rules would be not to supply an ASID. that's deemed a Chorus identifier and thus not really something they can share.
