Hello all i got me a samsung W531 off trade me it was new in the box still with the telecom seal on it. for 250$ dollars everything works well on it apart from sometimes when i send a text/sms. i add my contact for the person i want to send the message to then i type my text and push send as normal the phones displays 'message sent and stored' then the person does not reply and i wonder why so i go in to my outbox and it as a hour glass icon on the message i last sent. i looked up the meaning for it and it just says the message is pending. i can resend it and then it will come up with the blue sent icon and then the person that i sent the text to gets my message. this is a pain in the but i have taken my phone to telecom store all they done is reprogramed the number back in to it. i could of done that my self i have called telecom customer servers they say to leave the battary out for an hour or so i do that but still the same problem. is this a phone fault or a network fault i think it's a phone fault.
if i get into a text conversation with someone like i text them they text back then i text them and they text back it works fine. but if someone text's me  like a one off thing and says can you get some bread please i get the message but when i reply it says pending in the outbox and i got to send it again.

does anyone know how to fix this? i feel like smashing it sometimes

also does anyone no if the noka 6500s will work on telecoms new network that is comeing out next year?

Are you keeping the phone open until the text has successfully sent? I think this was an issue with these phones when I had one but that was a while ago.

If you go to any Telecom store or dealer they can email away to get a proof of purchase from the supplier, This will say when it was despatched from the warehouse to the store and can be used as a proof of purchase for warranty. It does take a few days to get a reply, if you didn't leave the phone there the would be no prompt to the sho[ staff to keep following up on the email.
If you PM me the esn I could get it checked out for you (esn is number on back of phone under battery)

Cheers

Stores and Dealers no longer need to email away for this, they can use existing reporting functions to print off an acceptable POP for Telegistics even if the phone has been purchase via direct channels such as 123/126 and indirect channels such as other Telecom Stores or Dealerships. It will also say the dispatch date and not the purchase date through.

I take it you work in a Telecom or a Dealership? You can PM me if you want to know how.
