i am unable to configure ftp on thompson tg585v7. I have disabled ftp by telnet 192.168.1.254 and giving command service system ifdelete name ftp group wan and i also did port forwarding from port range 1000 to 65535 and assigned to one of my devices but still i am unable to access my ftp from the internet static ip address. massage comes like access is denied or u dont have the permissions to access the folder.

Something along the lines of this message suggests you need to be looking at the daemon that's running on the device you're FTP'ing to instead of the configuration of the router.

I would suggest using a client to try and connect to the server on the localhost and making sure you have the relevant folders configured and permissions setup before trying to manage remote connections.

Also, port 20 and 21 are default FTP ports. Between 1024 & 65535 are public ports to be used with anything. If you're going to forward the entire range you may as well just put the host in the DMZ.
