Its not a sim I use very often at all, but I do use it and I forgot to backup its number, uggh. Is there a txt or something I can send to get a reply with the number?

Just call Spark and ask the to read it back to you or call a mobile number you know and look at it on Caller ID

It has no credit on it haha.

Problem is I have something very rarely used that it is linked too. So I need it.

You don't need credit to call Spark

*123, 123 or one of their 0800 numbers like 0800 22 55 98 won't require credit...

If you do go via Online chat, give them your SIM ID and they should be able to tell you the number (they may also ask for your IMEI).

Thanks all. I have the number saved. I tried calling one of the other mobiles but its saying there is a problem with your spark account. Im picking it might be inactivity. I activated it a good 18 months ago but have never used it, topped it up etc. Do they go into a frozen state if not used after a period of time?

Sounds like it's gone then if you last topped up 18 months ago.

https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=107069 outlines a similar situation, although the OP's responses were a bit...tone-deaf?

Not sure if you need credit to call 1956, if not, on the spark network this will cause your number to be be read out by the helpful spark voice, rumours have it, hes been stuck in an exchange somewhere for many years :)
