Hello people, I'm asking for Your Help.

I'm on Prepaid ( Spark ) actually in Italy and I would like to receive txt on my number.

I'm using a Samsung A10 Dual SIM phone.

I've got 20$ on my SIM, Casual rate.

Do you think I need to buy a roaming package ( 20 $) to be able to receive simple text messages?

Not sure, If you want I can publish my number so you can try to txt me....

Miky

Adding a roaming pack won't enable you to receive text messages. You are best to call the helpdesk +64 3 371 0866 or roaming@spark.co.nz so they can troubleshoot, and investigate.

Thank You, and this is what i Did ( I contacted the help line ).

But they told me that i NEED a roaming pack to receive text.

That's why I'm disappointed, and NO, I didn't buy their roaming pack.

You don't need a roaming pack to receive a text, text messages are free to receive when roaming. DM me your number and I'll get the team to have a look.

Can you text outbound? Haven't been to Italy, but to other locations I've never needed to buy a roaming pack (just been charged casual rates for use if any), but have sometimes found I need to make some sort of outbound request - txt or call for example - before I receive anything incoming, not sure if it's to do with registering on networks etc

And just tried, I can not make phone calls neither.
It says that I'm not registered on the network, what does it means?

All sorted. Local carrier just needed to be manually selected in the device.
