Hello, I’m looking for some help with settings for fibre connection to Spark with ASUS AC58U. I have had this working for a couple of years. I updated the firmwsre today and now it’s not connecting to the internet. It seems some settings may have been changed. As far as I can tell, it is setup as per the instructions on the PBtech page. However, there are now a couple of extra boxes available in the router settings pages.

I have tried using a different cable to the ONT, just in case.

Thanks - the DNS is directing towards a Pi-hole. I can try something different in there in the mean time?

I guess you can just try yes just to see if it connects, Other than that I don't know, You could always go back to previous firmware.

From your computer try nslookup geekzone.co.nz 1.1.1.1 and see if there is a response. If there is, your DNS is not working so you should fix that - in the meantime change the router to use automatic or change to 1.1.1.1

Thank you for your replies. At some point after I gave up and went to bed it decided it would in fact connect. I haven’t changed anything since last post either.

Are you running stock firmware?

I had a similar experience updating mine but I'm using Merlins firmware.
