Anyone else have issues today.

Have had one client report issues - I can't get to Xero or ANZ from my Spark connection

Just got back to my desk, so no time to troubleshoot yet :)

Only thing on their status page is Outage in Leigh, which is no where near CHCH

Yep we're seeing multiple reports of issues. Customers on Spark have issues accessing part of our prefixes but not all (so some IPs work, some don't, in the same /24)

Ouch - just trying to get to my MS Partner portal and portal.office.com is timing out - this just got serious -  Can live with out money and accounting, but not my MS portal lol

Might be time to ring the helpdesk and make sure something is getting logged in the system

Yep still having issues with Spark ufb here in Chch.

My work's VPN connection went down at around lunchtime and ever since most websites are not resolving.

I eventually bounced my ER-X thinking it had finally died, but no, some sites did come back (e.g. spark.co.nz, stuff.co.nz) but there are still plenty that are not (e.g. coingecko.com, twitter.com) and my Google Nest refuses to stream YT music.

Spark says it is Enable and they are working on it. Is there a way of contacting Enable after hours, really need to know how long this will last!

Not for this sort of issue - its likely a networking thing between Enable and Sparks handovers - their network guys will be thrashing it out and earning the Whisky tonight :)

Rebooted Router, and all sites now working for me

Off to check on the clients now

Shame there isn't someone on Geekzone who knows how Sparks network in CHCH is structured and who could possibly comment - hypothetically of course - as to what could cause this type of randomness ;)

Anyone that works at Spark in an engineering role is extremely limited as to what they can divulge in a public forum that's sometimes watched by journalists to pick up information for "news" articles. All they could likely say is that there were no indications of any regional issues and no change in expected traffic levels for the time of day on any Chch infrastructure. That is, if they looked and that's what they saw.

I do note that there have been a number of banking sites (including ANZ) that have had availability issues over the last few days. I genuinely know absolutely nothing about the background of those problems except what I have read in the media over the last few days though.

Cheers - N

Hi all, we are aware of the issue, and should be fixed shortly.
