does anyone have any ideas? would make some sense to release some phones and devices perhaps a month or so before network start up? perhaps marketing could give some heads up?

Don't see what pointing to a Telstra AU add has to do with the OPs question..

Telstra's Next G Mobile network is WCDMA... The OP is asking about new Telecom mobile phones for the new network...

The phones on that link give a good idea of what Telecom will probably be offering... this has been mentioned many times on GZ previously.

In hingsight, i should have indicated the direct link:

Oh and the new phones should be available from April onwards... a friend in Telecom retail has told me

From what I've heard, they're for in-store customer-facing demo use only.
