I'm moving into a area where Telecom is doing some fast (Fiber 30Mbs/3Mbs) broadband trial, all sweet waiting to signup when I enquire about the Static IP, telecom drop me a bomshell saying I cannot have a static IP on this trial broadband!! . I'm not sure they can provide other broadband plans (PRO) with the static IP etc.
Any one living in this area (Mission Heights - Flat Bush) using a static IP please comment?

Alternative is to use DDNS but I have seen issuse with paid DDNS in the past
Thanks

I use No-IP instead of DDNS.
Works great and never had a problem with it using the little app on one of the machines to keep the IP address up to date.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.
