I noticed when walking past Telecom Dukes Arcade in Wellington they had a new T-Day Stand with 3 Nokia handsets on it.

They had a white 3120c, an E71 and I think a 6600 Slide.

I wonder what the full range will look like at launch!!!

I did take a picture of it but for some reason it came out white.

Interesting they are releasing details of handsets way ahead of launch.

not that I don't believe you, but... well....

I don't believe you Tongue out

I'm almost 100% sure that the handsets haven't been announced yet.  I'd be very surprised if any of the stores had dummy phones.

Are you sure they weren't just cardboard cut outs with a sign saying something like
"These are examples of the handsets we will be able to bring you"
 or something?

http://www.telecom.co.nz/newnetwork - "These are examples of the types of devices we can bring to you"

The ones in the shops appear to be showcases of what actually will be released.

They are "dummies" but proper little plastic phones.

3120, e71 and something else.

The 3120 plastic casing cracks apart on the sides in all the examples I have seen shy of a month old, hoorible phone.

Went to Lynn Mall yesterday and same situation in there.

I asked the staff member, and she said they haven’t announced the actual phones yet, and these are just ‘examples of the kind of phones we might be getting’

I have a 3120c for work and it is a really nice phone. No signs of any cracking as yet (Phone is 2.5 months old). Quite good feature wise for its size. Battery life is average, but better than my N95 which gets a daily charge.

I do like the form factor of it and it reords VGA video too, I was kind of dissappointed when I saw the cracks. I'm the type to squash phones but otherwise they look new for years which is why I don't have clamshells.

Remember being a GSM network of sorts, you can of course simply import phones even though they won't be supported. I have my greasy eyes on the N95-3, the US version. (SIP client that the newer one seems to be suddenly missing. hmmmm) (currently have an N95 on Vodafone)

@paradoxsm - Don't want to get too OT, but a SIP client is now a requirement of a mobile for me. I am reluctant to upgrade my phone software to the latest version (PC Suite tells me in the last month or so a new version is available) 'cos I have heard Nokia is dropping SIP on the N-Series. 3120c is a great little phone tho. Certainly has all the features I need for my work phone. WiFi and SIP client would be nice to connect to Call Manager, but hey that's what desk phones are for right?
