Just got a new sm3 on Saturday set it up just noticed the there is a humming/scratching noise coming from modem it’s brand new out of box I don’t think it’s meant to make a noise it’s been running fine since I setup apart from the annoying sound should I get spark too send another one

Could be the power adaptor that's faulty. Ours started doing this after almost two years, and I was able to test it with another power adaptor and they sent me a replacement. Since it's new, see if they'll swap the whole thing out for you.

I’ll call them tomorrow and and see if they can send a power adapter to try first otherwise I’ll ask for replacement
