both my sons are moving from Kogan to Skinny

last night they started the porting process on Skinny and Skinny texted them it will be done by 8am today

naturally, it's now past 1pm and the Kogan is still active so they start to worry/wonder

when should we start to query with Skinny and how do we go about that?

thanks

What would happen if he does another port request? Just wondering...

@Batman if a port request is in progress do not try another!  You could screw things up further

Contact Skinny and get them to look into the porting issue as they are the GSP

Also worth checking with Kogan whether they've actually received the port request. I was involved with another provider to Skinny port some time ago where Skinny kept telling me for three weeks they had submited port request after port request and that my previous provider was rejecting every port request -- turned out Skinny's system was faulty and wasn't sending through anything and their people didn't know.

Hopefully not the case for yours but I'd be talking to both sides (your losing provider and your gaining provider) to ensure the port request definitly has been made. Don't trust whaever Skinny says -- their helpdesk is utterly useless.

Thanks all, we were away in the middle of nowhere over the weekend, haven't contacted them.

Kids Kogan 12 month plan ending. Reason for port is last year is both kids annual plans renewed despite me setting them to not renew automatically. So it's just a way of terminating ties with them.

Most remember to contact Skinny tomorrow night or Tuesday. I'm super busy tomorrow...

@Batman So what did Skinny support say?

just an update, by the time I had become free from a very busy work week, the Kogan annual plans have expired - luckily they didn't renew like last year. so there is no incentive to chase this up, i have things to do.

my kids say they will just use the new number.

I guess who know if the numbers will actually port in the future, but they are just teens and not running any business. either way, if the port happens down the line I will be sure to inform you!

otherwise we are leaving it to run its course.
